1963 Mercedes 300SL Roadster finished in the unique combination of Pearl Green with Green Leather Hide Interior.  One of the last few cars to be built (4th from last) and equipped with factory original sought-after aluminium engine and disc brakes.  A matching numbers vehicle with its original hardtop & is fitted with a period Becker Mexico GPS radio.

This car is the rarer European specification model originally delivered new to The Netherlands – 80% of total production having been exported directly to the US market.

This vehicle had a complete restoration approximately 10 years ago, carried out in Germany in partnership with, and under the supervision of, Kienle Automobiltechnik.  This no-expense-spared restoration was commissioned by the Sheikh Al-Sabah of the Royal Palace of Kuwait as one of fourteen vehicles which formed part of his substantial collection at that time.  During restoration various bespoke upgrades were made including the addition of air-conditioning, electric tinted windows as well as coolant & upgraded electrical components.

It has been registered in the UK since March 2018 prior to which it was fully serviced by Kienle.  This service included the fitting of UK specification headlights and a complete set of XWX Michelin tyres.

It has covered just 2,000 kms in total since restoration and comes complete with 2 sets of keys and bespoke boot luggage in matching green leather hide.

A truly exceptional example and is ready for viewing by appointment.
