Purdy Historic Motorcycles was formed by two brothers with a vision to create bespoke English motorcycles and started back in around 2009.  Each unique project is the product of their knowledge, as gained over 50 years in the traditional engineering field, coupled with passion and inspiration as well as their love of creative engineering, all of which is played out at their traditional barn-style workshop in the heart of rural Buckinghamshire.

The first creations were known as Purdy Bullitts, which were completed incorporating a high level of design and craftsmanship.  The Purdy Brough is based on an original 1950’s Triumph Speed Twin using many of the original parts – the T100 Aluminium engine, Amal carburation, modern day vintage tyres & Smiths chronometric digital speedometer.

The bespoke parts are all carefully crafted in their raw form and assembled piece by piece creating the style and look accomplished. Approximately one thousand hours of engineering and design goes into each machine creating the incredibly fine detail and high level of finish.  Paint and leather work is outsourced to experts in their field to accomplish the immaculate final product.

The inspiration for creating the new Purdy Brough’s is based on the idea that if Triumph had unlimited budget and resources back in the day when the machines were built, this is what they would have created. Keeping to the proven frame and engine combination and then going on to further bespoke the style of the original machine utilising elements such as iconic early girder forks, high quality leather & paint finishes and extended original fuel tank.

This Machine is the eleventh build in the Purdy range and incorporates the following specification:
