1962 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8 FHC

Original UK RHD 5-speed manual finished in Silver Grey Metallic with Red Interior.  Supplied new by H R Owen and first registered on 1 November 1962.  Remains on its’ original Registration Plate and now covered 73,000 genuine miles.

The history file holds invoices from 1987 onwards and the vehicle has benefitted from various upgrades over the years and now has the specification as below:

• 5-Speed Ulric gearbox fitted by E Type UK

Original Service Book details early services carried out by Bearts of Kingston, H R Owen Kensington and J E White of Bishops Stortford up to 31,351 mls in May 1969.

Major Service Works include –

• Engine rebuild @ 56k miles,
• Rear diff and suspension rebuild @ 69k mls (including all bushes/shocks),
• Carburettors totally rebuilt at 70k mls,
• All fluids including brake fluid changed yearly since 1989 (regardless of mileage)
• Replacement of all consumable items including flexible brake pipes, fuel lines, hoses & bushes at regular intervals.

The history file also contains the original Service Book & Owners book as well as Jaguar Daimler Vehicle Information Sheet (Heritage Certificate) plus MOT’s spanning from 1985 to 2023.
